Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 14, 2026

This site is operated by Chris Waverly, founder of Online Health Directory. Your use of this site is governed by this policy. The site is for general informational purposes only and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. By using the site, you agree to the practices described below.

Information We Collect

Automatically. When you visit the site, we and our analytics providers automatically collect technical information including your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URL, time on page, and click events. This is captured by Google Analytics 4, Vercel Analytics, Vercel Speed Insights, and Microsoft Clarity (which also records anonymized session replays and heatmaps).

Voluntarily. If you subscribe to our newsletter or download a guide, we collect the email address you submit. If you use the contact form (to be deployed), we collect your name, email, and message. We do not collect medical records, payment information, Social Security numbers, or insurance ID numbers on this site.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to operate and improve the site (analytics, performance monitoring, heatmaps), to send the emails you have requested via Kit (formerly ConvertKit), and to respond to inquiries you send us. We do not sell your personal data.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it processes the data it receives:

Affiliate Disclosure

Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and complete a qualifying action with the partner, Online Health Directory may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content or which providers we surface in directory listings. For the full disclosure, see our Affiliate Disclosure page.

Cookies and Tracking

The site uses first-party and third-party cookies to support analytics, session recording, and email form functionality. We are implementing enhanced consent controls (a cookie consent banner) in a future release. Until then, visitors in the EU and UK can manage tracking using browser-level Do Not Track signals, private browsing modes, and ad-blocking or tracker-blocking extensions.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to access, correct, and delete the personal data we hold about you. You can opt out of analytics at any time through your browser settings or ad-blocking extensions. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete that information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information — we do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the address below.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained per each provider's policy: Google Analytics 4 retains event data for 14 months by default, Microsoft Clarity retains session data for approximately 1 year, and Vercel Analytics retains data for approximately 30 days on hobby and pro tiers. Email subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe using the one-click unsubscribe link included in every email we send.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves or as the law changes. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
